Sydney Film Festival set to reach huge milestone

The iconic Sydney Film Festival is celebrating its 70th anniversary next month, making it one of the longest-running festivals in the world.

Festival Director Nashen Moodley expressed his excitement to Deborah Knight, saying “It’s a time for us to reflect on how the festival has reached this point, but also look to the future”.

The Sydney Film Festival celebrates both the biggest stars whilst encouraging young Australian filmmakers.

He emphasised the importance of attending local cinemas to help support the film industry.

Moodley also spoke about the opening film, “The Boy“, set to show in Cannes next week.
