‘Sydney bird hunt’ – Can you help us find Twisty ?
The search continues for a missing bird in Sydney.
Twisty the lutino macaw belongs to Paul Signorelli from Doltone House.
But less than 24 hours ago, he flew away. Twisty escaped from his enclosure in Pyrmont after a door was accidentally left unlocked.
The owners say the bird is “priceless” because he is part of their family. However, he is also worth a pretty penny.
It’s an extremely rare breed, and there are not many of them around.
They’ve only existed for about 20 years, so there wouldn’t be many in Australia, let alone the world.
We’re told a macaw like this could retail for up to $30,000.
