Travellers are arriving at Sydney Airport in vast numbers today as school holidays kick off.

Having learned some big lessons from the Easter holiday chaos, airport staff are reporting a relatively calm day.

Sydney Airport representative Karen Halbert said, “Today is actually scheduled to be our biggest day … really since the beginning of covid.

“Today has gone pretty smoothly all things considered.

“All sorts of little steps that we’ve taken I think have put us in a pretty strong position for things like the train strikes.

“Queues are moving really smoothly.”
