Study rules out link between caesarean birth and food allergies
New research has found there is no connection between caesarean births and the risk of infants developing food allergies during the first year of life.
A study conducted by the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute found no impact of caesarean delivery on allergic outcomes.
Murdoch Children’s Research Institute Associate Professor Rachel Peters told Deborah Knight previous studies had been mixed.
“At the moment, I think this is some of the strongest evidence.”
