South Sydney Rabbitohs star reflects on career before 150th NRL game

Adam Hawse

South Sydney Rabbitohs star Five-eighth Cody Walker is approaching his 150th NRL game this Friday.

A talented youngster who was forced to wait until age 26 to make his NRL debut, Walker later became NSW’s oldest first-timer in the State of Origin at 29.

Walker enters the game this Friday against Manly with a tough task on his shoulders as the Rabbitohs desperately need to get their handling sorted after making the most errors in the NRL while winning just three of their opening seven games.

Cody told Mark Levy and Brad Fittler that the huge milestone represents a long journey.

“Just to play one game in the NRL at 26-years of age I was happy with, but to reach the 150 milestones that I didn’t think was possible, is quite the achievement for me.”

“I’m so lucky that my journey still continues,” he said.
