Rugby league and Rugby Union legend Sonny Bill Williams has opened up on his only regret after making his return to Belmore earlier this year.

Bulldogs Coach Cameron Ciraldo invited Williams back to Belmore, 15 years after his controversial departure from the club.

Williams told The Continuous Call Team he wishes he had come back to the club sooner.

“Walking back in here the only mistake I feel like is not coming back here early enough,” Williams said.

“I know the lessons I learnt here as a youngster coming here grinding, training, trying to play ball with Mark O’Meley and (Willie) Mason, it set me up for a long successful career.”
