Tim Cahill has urged Matildas coach Tony Gustavsson not to throw Sam Kerr straight back into the starting side as Australia await France.

Cahill told Deb the side is performing wonderfully without Kerr, and says the best players in the world can make a difference off the bench.

“When it’s time to dance, that makes a difference between being good and great. Just when the big moment comes, you show up whether off the bench or starting”, he told Deb.
