Legendary singer Cliff Richard is releasing his first dedicated Christmas album in 19 years.

‘Christmas with Cliff’ features 10 new recordings of Christmas classics and 3 brand new Christmas songs.

Cliff Richard told Deborah Knight his record company came up with the idea for the album.

“It was a great treat. They gave me the album I wanted.”

Asked about a potential return to Australia, Cliff Richard says he would like to do one more trip down under.

“I’m 82 years old now, and have been singing for 65 years.

“If I come back to Australia, and have an audience, I would definitely be there. It’s been a long time.”

Cliff Richard also paid tribute to Olivia Newton-John, saying he had spoken to her only three weeks before the tragic news of her passing.

“She was such a special person, Australians must be so proud of her. It’s still a shock to me now that she’s no longer here.”

‘Christmas With Cliff’ is out now.
