Shane Flanagan’s solution to Roosters-Sharks venue drama

Premiership-winning Sharks coach Shane Flanagan admits that he would prefer to see his former side host the Roosters in Kogarah as criticism continues to mount on the NRL for allowing Cronulla to host the crucial finals match at PointsBet Stadium.

Eyebrows were raised this week after it was confirmed that Cronulla, who earned the right to host the week one finals clash, would take on the Roosters at its 13,000-seat stadium in the Sutherland Shire.

This situation has left the NRL in a tricky position, with the league opting against using the newly built $838 million Allianz Stadium, the home of the Roosters.

“For me, if I was coaching the Sharks, I would look at taking it to Kogarah,” he said.
