Jim Wilson has slammed the AFLW over the divisive decision to leave out a Queen Elizabeth tribute.

The AFLW made a last-minute decision not to go ahead with a planned minute of silence as they were recognising the Indigenous Round.

“Those close to the AFL said clubs and players didn’t want to diminish the indigenous message by acknowledging the Queen’s passing, what a lot of garbage and they could have done both,” Jim said.

“To ignore the Queen was absolutely shameful and I sat there watching and felt embarrassed and so bitterly disappointed.”
