Bulldogs’ Lachlan Lewis accused of stealing NRL speaker to sell on eBay

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs halfback Lachlan Lewis is unlikely to play this week after allegedly trying to sell equipment provided by the NRL.

Lewis is under investigation by the NRL’s integrity unit over a “serious matter” in which a soundbar system, ‘worth a few hundred bucks’, was put up for sale on eBay.

“It’s not the crime of the century, let’s be honest, but it’s so rugby league isn’t it?” James Willis commented.

“If you don’t laugh, you’d probably cry.”

Nevertheless, the incident is the latest in a series of controversies for the embattled Bulldogs, James pointed out.

“You have to ask, with all due respect, serious questions of the culture.”
