Dolly Parton’s smash-hit West End musical 9 to 5 is coming to Sydney, landing at the Capitol Theatre in 2022.

Multi-award-winning Australian singer and actress Caroline O’Connor has been cast as busybody assistant Roz Keith, a woman madly in unrequited love with her boss.

Ms O’Connor told Deborah Knight she fell into a “very deep depression” without work amid lockdown, unable to find her rhythm in the online world without a live audience.

“I am a workaholic, and I absolutely adore what I do, and I feel terribly lost without it.

“I’m having a love affair with my work, and … I just felt like I didn’t have a place to be, and an outlet at all.”
