Taxpayers will foot the compensation bill to the former lover of a Federal MP over her treatment as a political staff member.

News.com.au revealed Rachelle Miller, who had an affair with Liberal frontbencher Alan Tudge, will receive a taxpayer-funded payout of over $500,000.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison told Chris Smith he doesn’t have the details.

“Those are private matters … and they’re appropriately at arm’s length from me.”
