NSW Education Minister Sarah Mitchell has confirmed 2021’s school leavers will be allowed to celebrate their momentous achievement with a party.

Under changes to the reopening roadmap, all school students will now resume in-person learning on October 25.

Ms Mitchell told Jim Wilson Year 12’s “very well deserved” end-of-school events are “absolutely” on the cards.

“Formals will definitely be able to go ahead.

“[We’re] just finalising some details with Health now, and we’ll get that advice to our school communities quickly – probably in line with what we’re going to see for weddings and those events in November and December.
