Chris O’Keefe has taken issue with a new equality bill which fails to protect queer teachers from being fired at religious schools.

“I find that abhorrent … I get that Catholic or Jewish or Islamic schools might not want homosexuality preached to students, that is fine,” he said.

His comments on 2GB Drive come after Chris Minns backed a bill by independent MP Alex Greenwich which would allow people to change the gender on their birth certificate.
