A Russian Consulate is fighting back after the Woollahra City Council stripped it of street parking permits and returned car spaces to the general public.

The council voted to change the name of Fullerton street, the home of the Russian consulate, to Ukraine Street.

But recently, resident Jack found a note on his car, “You are kindly requested not to occupy parking space of the Consulate-General”.

He told Ben Fordham it’s causing some confusion.
