Rugby League legend Darren Lockyer has weighed in on the recent dropping of skipper Daly Cherry-Evans from the Brisbane side.

Telling Adam Hawse on Wide World of Sports, he says it gives Cherry-Evans the chance to focus on club football.

“I think you’ll see tonight a champion player who wants to prove a point,” he said.
