A strong stench has returned to western Sydney.

Last year, the Bingo landfill facility was found to be behind a disgusting odour permeating homes in Minchinbury and surrounding suburbs.

While that issue was resolved, another smell has taken over and Environmental Protection Authority’s Executive Director Steve Beaman told Ben Fordham it’s not related.

“It’s not the rotten egg gas smell that we had last year, it’s more of a rotten garbage vegetation smell.”

The EPA is in the process of resolving the issue.
