Fire and Rescue NSW has revealed some of the bizarre reasons people call the firies.

Ben Fordham has obtained a list of some of their recent call-outs:

• A man getting his fingers stuck in the lounge
• A cat caught in a tree
• Someone’s hair tangled in an angle grinder
• A dog’s head stuck in a fence
• A man getting his fingers stuck in a bowling ball
• Someone saw an echidna crossing the road
• A child’s fingers got stuck in the bath plug hole
• Cows stuck in the mud
• A wedding ring stuck on someone’s finger
• Two cockatoos trapped in a kite
