Minister for Women’s Safety Natalie Ward has outlined how we could be able to find out if partners have a history of domestic violence.

Police would be allowed to disclose the information under the ‘Right to Ask’ scheme.

Ms Ward told Ben Fordham, people will need to verify their in a relationship with the person they’re seeking records on.

“We need better controls around this, we know that they’re not in place at the moment and that’s why we’re pushing to make this happen.”
