Expected to be a revolution for Aussie shoppers, online US retailer Amazon has left many disappointed.

Amazon officially launched in Australia yesterday but many customers have been left disappointed with the small range of products and higher than expexted prices.

A 75-inch Samsung UHD TV listed on Amazon was $2,500 more expensive than at Harvey Norman. Kindle’s E-Reader is also cheaper at Officeworks.

Deborah Knight speaks with Dr Gary Mortimer, Marketing and Advertising Lecturer at the Queensland University of Technology to understand why consumers were left disappointed.

“Consumer are probably a little underwhelmed although I say it’s probably a bit too early to make a judgement because this is Amazon’s first launch into the [Australian] market.
