ANZ’s Chief Economist says there’s no reason why the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) wouldn’t cut interest rates tomorrow.

The RBA is expected to announce the decision tomorrow afternoon, regardless of the current federal election.

Richard Yetsenga tells Ross Greenwood he believes the RBA will cut interest rates regardless of any external influences.

“I just think if the economic case is there, and their mandate is to operate monetary policy independent of any outside influence… then they deliver into their mandate by moving interest rates.”
