The daughter of rugby league immortal Bob Fulton was dismissed by the Sea Eagles on Friday, four months after first raising her concerns about the rainbow jersey at an internal meeting.

A Sydney Morning Herald article suggested Ray Hadley promised to look after his family as a “dying wish”.

“No such conversation ever took place with me,” Ray said.

“Bob was one of my best mates for over three decades … when your mates pass it’s a given you’ll do whatever you can for their family.”
