AMP Deputy Chief Economist Diana Mousina says that while the RBA held the cash rate at 3.6 per cent today, an interest rate hike in early 2026 is not off the table.

Mousina discussed the economic tightrope facing the RBA, fueled by the risk of stagflation, where higher unemployment combines with persistent inflation above the 3 per cent target.
