There will be some disruptions to Sydney’s train network this morning despite the rail union backing down on their plan for a major outage.

Disruption won’t be as bad as last week as The Rail Union has planned a repeat of last Friday’s action.

The government’s bid for an order from the Fair Work Commission banning the action has failed, however, the union is offering to run 75 per cent of the trains.

Initially, Sydney trains will use 60 per cent and build up from there as timetables are now in place.

NSW Roads Minister Natalie Ward told Chris Smith it’s another frustrating day for Australians.

“We’ve tried to meet them, we’ve come to the table, we want a resolution to this.”
