Queensland taxi drivers are urging the state government to match a compensation offer made in NSW.

Queensland Taxi Licence Owners Association CEO Paul Scaini said by comparison, NSW plate owners have won the lottery, with Queensland drivers offered “nothing”.

“We’re really concerned that [Queensland is] going to go down the New South Wales path and just get rid of licence owners, give them nothing and that’ll be the end of us.”
