A Qantas plane has been forced to turn around mid-flight and dump a massive amount of fuel.

Flight QF7 was travelling from Sydney to Dallas when after a whistling noise was heard coming from one of the doors.

The flight was in the air for less than three hours before being diverted.

The Qantas plane has now landed back at Sydney Airport.

Passenger Colin has called in to tell Ben Fordham the noise would have been “unbearable”.

“They just basically (said) the noise was too great. It was presumably a seal, and the safest thing to do would be to turn around and go back.”
