A Qantas executive has blamed climate change for Sydney’s worsening flight delays.

Qantas Domestic chief executive Andrew David argued above average wind strengths at Sydney airport have contributed to lengthy flight delays over the past three years.

Steve Price says that is definitely not the reason.

“Can I give Mr David, as a regular customer of his, some advice?

“Mostly flights are delayed by late-arriving aircraft and crews needing to change from plane to plane.

“I don’t think climate change has got anything to do with it.”
