Restaurant and pub owners want clarity about the future of vaccine passports, beyond the 70 per cent vaccination mark.

Only fully vaccinated patrons will be allowed back into hospitality venues once the state reaches 70 per cent double doses.

Ben Fordham had earlier revealed those rules will be set out in a health order, taking the onus off of businesses.

But the owner of pub group Laundy Hotels, Craig Laundy, told Ben Fordham the government can’t leave them solely responsible for turning away unvaccinated staff and customers.

“The big concern is how long they keep that in place for and what happens post them taking that out, in terms of the exposure of businesses.

“My great hope is they keep the vaccine passport in place until we get to over 90 per cent.”
