Psychologist shares her advice for overcoming phobias

While many people enjoy getting into the spirit of Halloween, it can also bring out the worst of our phobias.

Clinical director of the Sydney Phobia Clinic Corrie Ackland told Deborah Knight it’s all about thinking about your fears reasonably.

“When we are looking at a phobia, there is always the anticipation that something bad could happen.

“We find that the response to that fear is in excess, or not reasonable to the danger at all.”
