Professor’s solution to create level playing field for women’s sport

Three exercise science professors are calling out major Australian sporting organisations for prioritising inclusion over “fairness and safety”.

They’ve published papers in the International Journal of Sport and Society arguing for the protection of the “female category” in sport.

They believe trans children should be free to choose what category to play in, but post-puberty they should be limited to their biological gender.

One of these professors, Helen Parker, told Ben Fordham that sex-based biology clearly shows this is the fairest option.

But now, transgender swimmer Lia Thomas could end up competing alongside Olympian Ariarne Titmus.
