Professor Dan Howard is pleading with the government to move forward with a drug inquiry.

The issue of illicit substances and the need to move away from the punitive law enforcement approach the NSW government are taking to them is a front and centre issue at the moment.

The deaths of a number of young Australians had brought the drug issue to the Berejikilian government and as such, she launched the Special Commission of Inquiry into the Drug “Ice” due to the rising use of the illegal substance.

Professor Howard led the Special Commission of Inquiry into the Drug ice and he told Ben Fordham there are conflicting debates on how to handle drug recommendations but the lack of action from the government is poor.
