Professor Fiona Wood is one of the world’s most respected burns specialists.

She was named Australian of the Year in 2005, largely for her work with the victims of the Bali bombings.

Fiona Wood told Deborah Knight the burn injuries from the terrorist attack were beyond the imagination.

“The blast injuries were so complicated and severe, but I was lucky to have an amazing team.”
