A Gold coast thug who coward-punched a teenager at Schoolies last year is in for a rude wake-up call.
19-year-old Caleb Maraku was given 12 months probation for knocking Taliesin Tardrew-O’Meara unconscious in the gutless attack.
Professional Australian boxer Kerry Foley has called Maraku out and has challenged him to a real fight.
Kerry tells Ben Fordham Maraku’s attack looked premeditated.
“He knew what he was doing when he walked up to [Taliesin].
“What got me was when he was walking out of court just acting like he’d achieved something.”
Kerry says Maraku should front up and face the music.
“He’s got to learn a lesson somehow and the younger he learns it the better.
“It’s going to be more about building awareness and educating people about how bad coward punches can be.”
