Following community concerns and reports from parents, the NSW Education Minister’s office has clarified that state school students are expected to follow strict uniform policies, making “furry” behaviour unlikely in public schools.

Catholic Schools NSW also weighed in, stating furries are not in line with Catholic teachings and reaffirmed the value of student behaviour and uniforms.
