Prime Minister accused of protecting identities of JobKeeper exploiters

Some JobKeeper claimants have been accused of manipulating the scheme, which paid out $13 billion to companies which increased their profits amid the pandemic.

Senior Labor MP Tanya Plibersek told Jim Wilson Australians deserve to know which profitable businesses are refusing to repay the money, accusing Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Treasurer Josh Frydenberg of trying to hide their identities.

“It’s outrageous.

“You could send a cheque for $1000 to every adult Australian for the money that we’ve wasted on companies that didn’t need the assistance.

“It’s just not right when taxpayers are going to be footing the bill.”
