Premier’s office goes into lockdown following discovery of ‘white power’
A suspicious envelope addressed to Gladys Berejiklian’s office in Martin Place has been seized, initially sending the building in lockdown.
Emergency services reported to the building in Sydney’s CBD to following the discovery of a “white powder”.
Hazmat crews have confiscated the envelope, found in the mailroom, and it will undergo forensic analysis.
Hazmat crews and police remain at the scene, but it’s business as usual for the offices inside.
