Police urge for public assistance after suspicious death of homeless man

Police are calling for public assistance as investigations continue into the death of a man in Summer Hill.

Emergency services arrived in Sydney’s Inner West to commence CPR on a 72-year-old man.

Despite their best efforts, Vincenzo Leonello died at the scene.

Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding Mr Leonello’s death and have set up a crime scene.

NSW Detective Inspector Claudia Allcroft told Ray Hadley, “We believe there is someone in the community who knows about Mr Leonello’s death”.

“He is well known in the community and a loved family member.”

Police have released CCTV footage of the last known whereabouts of Mr Leonello.
