Police urge for more victims to come forward as serial paedophiles faces sentencing

Police are appealing for more victims of a serial pedophile to come forward, as he awaits sentencing next week.

61-year-old Gary Nicholson was involved in a pedophile ring in Sydney’s eastern suburbs in the late 80s but was also active around Manly on Sydney’s northern beaches during the 90s.

Nicholson was arrested in 2016 and was found guilty of 16 sickening offences, including four counts of homosexual intercourse with male under 10 years.

“This bloke is a serious repeat offender,” Chris Smith says.

One victim was only eight years old when he was approached in his front yard by Nicholson.

That same victim continued to run into Nicholson and on one occasion was taken to a two bedroom apartment where he was told to pose for photos.

In future meetings, the young boy would be forced to watch gay pornography.

Nicholson will face sentencing for his crimes on October 5 at Newcastle District Court.

But police are still urging anyone with more information about the 61-year-old paedophile to come forward, including potential victims.
