Detectives investigating the shooting of a man in Sydney’s west late last year have released CCTV footage and images in an attempt to re-appealing for information.

Police from Cumberland Police Area Command responded to reports of a shooting at a home on Price Street, Merrylands November last year.

Officers were told a 59-year-old man had been shot in his backyard by an unknown person who fled in a stolen Subaru WRX, which was later located burnt out on Rees Street, Mays Hill.

Criminal Groups Squad Commander, Detective Superintendent Deb Wallace, says strike force investigators are keen to speak with anyone who recognises the people or vehicles in the vision.
