Two 20-year-old men will face court today after allegedly assaulting multiple police officers and a paramedic in Sydney’s south.

Police were called to Lugarno Marina on Sunday following reports the men, who had been riding jetskis, were threatening a man before entering a nearby restaurant.

Officers attempted to escort the pair from the restaurant when they allegedly became aggressive.

It’s alleged one of the men punched an officer in the face.

After police used capsicum spray the pair were arrested but the trouble wasn’t over.

A female paramedic and a police officer were then allegedly spat at.

When the pair got to St George Hospital the spitting allegedly continued, with another officer hit in the face.

20-year-old Mourman Baradaaji from Revesby is facing multiple charges, including four counts of assault police.

20-year-old Mohamad Bazzi from Bankstown is also facing charges including one count assault police and resist arrest.

“It’s bad enough to misbehave on the waterways, intimidating and frightening people on your jetskis,” says Ray.

“It’s an entirely different matter to spit in the face and mouth of police officers or an ambulance paramedic and punch someone in the face.

“I hope the magistrate does what we consider to be the right thing.”
