You can’t ‘walk your pets fit’, so how do you prevent their obesity?

Some of us are all too aware of our struggle with weight, but pets are experiencing the same challenges when it comes to preparing for a summer body.

In Australia alone, over 40-percent of our pets are overweight, and pet obesity is the most common nutritional disorder in cats and dogs.

We can’t really send our cats to do yoga, or for a run around the block… nor can we switch them to a plant-based diet. So, just what are we supposed to do to keep our pet’s weight in check?

Our station’s resident vet Dr Rob Zammit is on the front-line fighting pet obesity.
