Worms to end plastic bag waste for good?

Researchers at Cambridge University in conjunction with Spanish researchers have discovered a kind of caterpillar that is capable of breaking down the polyethylene found in single-use plastic bags.

Head researcher Federica Bertocchini stumbled upon the wax worm caterpillar by mistake, while tending to her amateur beehive.
She joins Michael McLaren from her research lab in Spain.
