Wool industry urged to modernise governance

Australian Wool Innovation is in for a major shake-up following the release of a report handing down 82 recommendations.

It includes improved communication with stakeholders, a skilled based board, and a maximum of 10 year terms.

The independent review found AWI does somethings well, but does need to modernise.

Agriculture Minister David Littlepround is calling for all 82 recommendations be adopted.

Rural reporter Eddie Summerfield spoke with AWI Chief Executive Stuart McCullough, and Wool Producers Australia Chief Executive Jo Hall.
