Why breeding funnel web spiders is necessary

The Australian Reptile Park is breeding funnel web spiders to help create antivenom.

The reason is, the creepy crawlies are being seen less in the wild, meaning fewer people are bringing them in to help start the process of making the serum to help those who are unfortunate enough to be bitten.

Jake Meney is the head of reptiles and spiders at the Australian Reptile Park and he joins John to share how you can help, and also how to tell the difference between a male and a female Sydney funnel web spider.
