Wheat: the potential to be more salt-tolerant.

Two enzymes in wheat found to be especially sensitive to salt could change the way crops perform in saline soils.

Scientists at the University of Western Australia have discovered the enzymes, which appear to be the weak link leading to plant death in salt-affected areas.

We caught up with lead researcher, Nicolas Taylor to tell us how this could open new doors for wheat growers.
