Volkswagen heralds the success of its on-line ordering process

Motor Torque

The unprecedented restrictions of the Covid-19 pandemic have forced many changes in the way we go about buying a car, more so perhaps in Victoria. Volkswagen Australia this week came out singing the praises of its online ordering process claiming to have sold 433 of all types via on-line ordering alone this year valued at $26 million dollars. Since making its new small T- Roc SUV available for pre-purchase in January customers have warmly responded to the process also buying a range of VW’s – the company claiming an unprecedented 2.4 million visits to Volkswagen.com.au/ while requests for dealer contact have tripled on 2019. When the car is configured by the customer to his or her personal requirements and a $500 deposit paid, the designated dealer makes contact within 48 hours to complete the transaction and arrange delivery. Customers can also choose vehicles not currently allocated to a dealer via the Stock-Locator tool. Changing times.
