Global demand for vanilla beans remains high, with poor weather conditions in the major growing regions of Madagascar and South America.
Growers here in Australia are receiving upward of $800 per kilo.
Rural reporter Eddie Summerfield spoke with Queensland grower George Gonthier about the current difficulties facing the industry.
