Ukraine defence volunteers plea for more supplies

John Stanley

John Stanley catches up with Alexandra Vinokur, a Ukrainian defence force volunteer currently in the capital Kyiv, who left her family behind to stay in Ukraine and fight for her country providing assistance to the military.

“Ukrainians are not okay, each Ukrainian is under constant stress 24/7, it’s like you refuse to eat you can’t sleep and you are afraid of any noise outside,” says Alexandra.

When asked what support is needed Alexandra expressed how they need supplies to help civilians escape and monitor Russian movement.

“(We) need night vision binoculars and drones as the Russians are usually attacking at night,

“Kyiv is being bombed every night… It’s awful, I have never seen something like this” says Alexandra.

To send Alexandra and her fellow citizens a message of support, please contact her through her Facebook or Instagram.
