Total winter crop planted hits a record, but production will fall short
The mouse plague isn’t expected to have a major baring on this year’s winter crop production according to ABARES.
The total area planted is just over 23 million hectares, with the national commodities forecaster expecting total production to be up by 13 percent on the 10 year average.
